Every spoonful of bulgur carries traces of approximately 4,000 years of human history. Since the days when wheat became a symbol of the transition from nomadic to settled life, not only agriculture but also a culture has been shaped in these lands. This journey laid the groundwork for the birth of bulgur, which developed alongside civilizations and has become one of the indispensable staple foods on tables today.
The story of İpek Bulgur began in 1990 in Mardin, located on the fertile lands of Mesopotamia. Inspired by the agricultural heritage of this unique geography, we set out with the goal of processing the highest quality wheat grown in the Mardin Plain using modern production technologies and bringing it to tables. Over the years, we have strengthened our production infrastructure through investments, and we proudly carry the responsibility of representing geographically indicated Mardin bulgur both domestically and internationally with confidence.
As İpek Bulgur, we are proud to be a part of this valuable journey. With the bulgur varieties in our product portfolio, we are strengthening our brand day by day in both local and international markets. Without compromising on the principles of quality, sustainability, and naturalness, we are committed to continuing this value chain from soil to table with the same sense of responsibility.
Inspired by Anatolia’s thousands of years of agricultural tradition, I sincerely believe that we will make Mardin bulgur a globally recognized flavor and share many more successes together on this journey.
